Psychological Therapeutic Interventions
As a psychologist I draw on a range of therapeutic interventions to ensure that the specific psychological needs of each person I provide support to are addressed directly. These therapeutic approaches may be attachment and trauma informed cognitive and behavioural or therapeutic parenting, depending on the needs of the child, teen or young person and the family. I will also work with the adults in the family individually to support them in this process. I will carry out an initial psychological assessment to identify any specific areas of need as well as initial consultations to negotiate an agreed intervention plan with parents/ carers and the child /young person..
